Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus finally presented
We have talked about the new Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Galaxy Note 5 before, but finally two of the most anticipated devices of the year have been shown publicly. The two phablets have grabbed everyone’s attention in order to check where Samsung will move in the future. Reality tells us that we are facing two very similar terminals in terms of hardware, though there are some areas where there are differences, such as the battery.
As reported by The Verge, the difference between the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and S6 Egde is not so great in terms of size. The second is only 12 mm longer and 5 mm wider than and its predecessor and only 6.9 mm compared to 7.0 mm of Edge S6. Everything else about how it looks and feels Edge S6 Plus is quite similar. The metal body and volume buttons and the power are in the right. As for software, all within the phone is also the same. The Edge S6 Plus has the same octa-core Exynos processor and Android 5.1 Lollipop version. It also has the same 16 megapixel camera.
Regarding Galaxy Note 5, the most visible change is the design, very consistent as with the smartphone Galaxy S6 Edge, in this case without the option of betting on screen curved edges, but by the combination of glass and metal. It is also more lightweight (weighs 171 grams versus 176 Note 4) and thinner (measures 7.6 millimeters thick compared to its predecessor 8.5 mm). Inside, memory becomes 4 GB and its processor is an eight-core Exynos 7, giving more power to the terminal.
Within cameras, its rear is 16 megapixels, while the front is raised to 5 megapixels. In Note 5, the screen is still 5.7 inches and resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels, which is a density of 518 pixels per inch.
As in the S6, the battery of 3000 milliamperes per hour is not removable and can be charged wirelessly. Both chassis are made of metal and glass giving them greater robustness than their predecessors. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will be available in two colors, gold platinum and black sapphire, both with two options: internal memory of 32 GB or 64 GB. The Note 5 also have several colors to choose: black, white, gold and platinum-plated titanium.
