The Rufus Cuff has surpassed $200.000 on Indiegogo

It seemed impossible, but the surprising hybrid between a smartphone and a smart watch from Rufus Labs has overcome its ambitious goal of $200,000 on Indiegogo.

Every day we see new and better quantifying bracelets and smart watches, but Rufus Cuff is something totally different. With a 3-inch touch screen and a resolution of 400 x 240 pixels, it is presented as the ideal accessory to wear in any situation.

The company states that it won’t have Wear Android, but it will work with Android 4.4 kitkat and includes Wi-Fi and access to the Play Store. That allows it to be used independently of the smartphone, which it only requedi to make a call.

The Rufus Cuff has all kinds of sensors (GPS, accelerometer and 6-axis gyrometer), microphone and speaker. It has a front camera and 16 GB of internal storage. The battery has a capacity of 1000 mAh and it is resistant to water splashes. To improve the impermeability, it doesn’t have the Jack connection slot, so if we want to use them, they must use Bluetooth.

We can receive notifications by vibration and LED when we have an email, and we can write messages from the voice through Siri and Google Now. All these features make of it a good addition to our physical activity, monitoring our sessions through the app we choose. It supports a large number of applications like Strava, RunTracker and Endomondo.
