Polaris Office is updated and is now free

On the market, we can find many office applications, some free, some for a certain price. However, the free versions typically offer limited functionality, mainly in text editing possibilities.

In recent years, the competition has become fierce, and now Infraware has decided to adopt a new strategy with its application called Polaris Office, which until now has been a paid app.

The app has received a major update and now we can download it for free for iOS and Android. This offimatic application is one of the most well- known and used in Android devices and it offers full compatibility with Microsoft Office.

The application allows you to use the most common cloud services like Dropbox, Box.net or Google Drive. It also offers its own cloud service with a capacity of 100MB available for free, with the ability to sync up to 2 devices, whether smartphones, tablets or PCs. For a small monthly fee of $3.99, you can extend the synchronization up to 5 devices.

Besides being compatible with Microsoft Word, we can view PDF, ZIP, XLS and PPT files among other formats. Also, we have lots of editing options available, even with the free version.

With this latest update, the menus have been improved and simplified and now the app fits better with tablets. It also includes a lot of accessories, such as templates, 2D and 3D graphics, a large number of predefined shapes and over 300 functions. Presentations will also have more slide transition effects; while in the documents, we can insert and edit headers, footers and footnotes. We can also import images directly from the gallery smartphone.
