How to root Sony Xperia E / Dual

We have two rooting methods for Sony Xperia E and Sony Xperia E Dual, whose directions change slightly due to the use of a different version of the rooting program. Before to begin, make sure your device has the battery charged to at least 60%.

Directions

-Rooting method Sony Xperia E:

  • 1. Download the program Framaroot 1.8.1 Apk available through the link “Download sources” at the end of this article.
  • 2. Go to Settings > Security > Enable unknown sources.
  • 3. Navigate to Framaroot (the file downloaded in step 1) and using the file manager install it on the Xperia E.
  • 4. Open the file installed on the phone.
  • 5. Click and select “Install SuperSU” and then select “Gandalf” Exploit.
  • 6. Reboot your device.
-Rooting method Sony Xperia E Dual:
  • 1. Download the program Framaroot 1.9.0 available through the link “Download sources” at the end of this article.
  • 2. Go to Settings > Security > Enable unknown sources.
  • 3. Navigate to Framaroot (the file downloaded in step 1) and using the file manager install it on the Xperia E Dual.
  • 4. Open the file installed on the phone.
  • 5. Click and select “Install SuperSU” and then select “Gandalf” Exploit.
  • 6. Reboot your device.
