Alcatel OneTouch Watch announced to preorder
Finally the Alcatel OneTouch Watch has made an appearance and confirmed what their proposal and dates. The union of attractive design and price that does not exceed the $149 is the combination they believe may be imposed upon that smartwatches using the same operating systems.
With metallic finish on the dial and strap microtextured resin, Alcatel OneTouch Watch features a circular 1.22 inch screen and bluetooth connectivity. Compatible with Android devices from version 4.3 and iOS 7 comes well loaded with sensors, including a heart rate monitor, accelerometer, gyroscope, altimeter and electronic compass.
As you can see, inside we find Android Wear, otherwise an appropriate operating system to work exclusively with the specifications of other smartwatches, which possibly is an excellent decision as it will yield the maximum and consumption should be as optimized as possible.
As quantifier, this Alcatel OneTouch Watch measured steps, distance, calories and sleep, but the functions are expanded when in smartwatch mode. Then, and based on the operating system (it can be Android or iOS), you can receive notifications from the smartphone and have multimedia controls on the wrist. This smartwatch has resistant IP67, includes a 210 mAh battery that can be recharged directly by the inclusion of USB port on the end of the belt, and with which the manufacturer claims that we autonomy for two to seven days.
At a glance, the inspiration on this smartwatch looks like the Motorola Moto 360, so that metallic look like classic round design. The body is constructed of metal, in addition to small details on the strap. Have a small range of user selectable colors. Seems to be on track, with good features, thoughtful design, excellent quality materials, compatibility with any Android terminal and the most interesting is its price; $149 (€125). It is available to pre-order now and shipping starts in June.
