SanDisk has a dual USB flash memory

SanDisk has announced a new dual flash memory device. It is a device with a USB 2.0 connector on one end and a micro USB on the other. It is designed to easily connect to PCs, smartphones, and tablets.

Just as other similar devices, such as the flash memory that Sony introduced a few months ago, it requires Android versions compatible with USB OTG (USB “On The Go”). This technology enables mobile devices to use the micro USB connector to support USB technology, so USB devices can be used on smartphones and tablets with a microUSB port.

In the SanDisk website, there is a comprehensive list of all compatible devices with this flash memory. We just need to consult the chart to see if our smartphone or tablet is listed.

SanDisk also offers an app, SanDisk Memory Zone, available on the Play Store, which provides a simple and effective method for organizing files, in the flash memory as well as in the mobile devices, either smatphones or tablets. It also supports many cloud services, such as Dropbox, Box, Google Docs, Picasa,SkyDrive, SugarSync and Facebook.

This type of flash memory, compatible with mobile devices and PCs, is an easy and inexpensive way to increase storage in smartphones and tablets. Many of them, especially the middle and low range, have a very limited storage capacity, so they usually offer cloud services to avoid this problem. However, this type of dual memories is a practical solution for exchanging images, videos or music.
