Mate S is the new flagship of Huawei
With the event IFA located in Berlin firing on all cylinders, we’re meeting all sorts of new devices that are just presenting the leading manufacturers today. In the case of Huawei, they have just introduced their new flagship Huawei Mate S, the large caliber weapon with which to fight the rest of terminals range.
Following the manicured lines of the past Huawei Mate 7 the new commitment is to improve the current terminal with the same metal high quality design made of one piece or unibody, along with some new features of the most interesting choices: Force Touch Screen and renovated fingerprints reader with more integrated functions.
Undoubtedly, this is a terminal containing virtually the best from each house. It has high-end specifications: we found a 5.7-inch panel with full HD resolution and Touch Force Screen technology, a powerful Hisilicon Kirin 935 processor, Mali-T628 GPU, 3 GB of RAM LPDDR4, 4100 mAh battery and Android 5.1 Lollipop with EmotionUI 3.1. In the photographic section we appreciate a front main camera of 20 megapixels and 8 megapixels. The reduced dimensions are about 157 mm high, 81 wide and only 7.9 millimeters thick, divided into about 185 grams. For connectivity anything you want: GSM, WCDMA, FDD-LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and more.
News over its predecessor are clearly in addition to the specifications, renewed fingerprint reader and Force Touch Screen. In the case of the fingerprint reader, it extends its functionality with older applications that give security as it can be used for selfies, answering phone calls, off alarms or even notifications. The new Force Touch Screen technology allows us to press zoom, open an app or preconfigured weigh an object on the screen with the integrated software.
The Huawei Mate S will be available in 30 countries. In Europe will come from the 15th of September in three versions: Standard Model of 32 GB gray and champagne for 649 euros. 64 GB Premium model in gold and rose gold for 699 euros with Force Touch Screen limited to certain markets. No fixed price.
