Sony seems to not quite hit the mark with the Xperia Z4, a terminal which in principle would not reach Europe and that just meant a boost regarding the Sony Xperia Z3. Disappointment was noted, numbers from Japan did not accompany and the mobile section has not been the improved outlook for the Japanese company.

But it’s time for IFA technology fair, to attract new audiences with a big announcement. Sony Xperia Z5, one of the three new handsets presented by Sony at IFA 2015, the reference terminal that comes with the best camera on a smartphone, or at least the best sensor that Sony is making for a smartphone.

The flagship of the company comes ready for anything. It does not grow on screen, 5.2 inches, nor in resolution, Full HD. Inside has a Snapdragon 810 processor at 2.1 GHz of 64-bit and 3 GB of RAM, also having 32 GB of internal storage expandable with microSD card, battery of 2900 mAh, which possibly will allow the terminal repeat as longer or one of the most enduring in this section, with fast charging speed and even better for the experience. As for its dimensions, we are in front of a well finished terminal, like everything we’ve seen from Sony in recent years, with 146 x 72.1 x 7.45 millimeters and 156 grams. It is the thinnest, lightest but possibly not the prettiest, but with quality materials and a design that convinces, although perhaps too much continuity.

We are facing a new sensor developed from the company with 23 megapixels, with faster photography to approach market as Sony, an important improvement in the stabilizing. Maximum aperture of 2.0 and a very good ability to record high-resolution video. All this, accompanied by a dual flash, a layer of customization based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, upgradeable, of course, to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Its connectivity features GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, LTE and in addition it is waterproof and dustproof with IP 68 certification. We also found a new fingerprint sensor tracks that Sony has finally decided to incorporate.

The new terminal, along with the new Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, will be available from October, priced for the moment has not yet been specified, although we do not expect it is below the 600-650 euros.
