There are about two weeks left to present the highly anticipated HTC U 11, under the spotlight for weeks now with anticipations, rumors and presumed images that this year could turn Taiwan’s manufacturer on the wave crest in the high-end smartphone segment (again).

Pending the official conference scheduled for May 16th, the new flagship has recently appeared on the Geekbench database, with a different code name, but in all likelihood, attributable to the next HTC U11.

The documentation confirms the presence of the SoC Snapdragon 835 with scores in line with those of other devices (Samsung Galaxy S8, LG G6, Xiaomi Mi6), followed by 4GB of RAM on board and Android 7.1.1 Nougat distribution.

The device achieved 1912 points (single-core) and 6137 points (multi-core). Considering the 1832/6301 points obtained by the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, the data of the new HTC top of the range is not bad at all and can also improve with the final version of the firmware.

HTC is ready to do its part with this interesting device, which we will see just side by side this year with the Galaxy S8, Xperia XZ Premium, Huawei P10 and LG G6, and not only similar in terms of processor, but also and above all on some features and special software, such as the ability to interact with the edges of the smartphone.

HTC U 11: a new trailer appears

As we see, the new HTC U 11 is almost ready to be unveiled in the world, and now we also have a new trailer to be satisfied with. This teaser is really special. It shows a hand stringing something, wringing it. According to HTC, the Taiwanese company decided to focus the attention on this fact. Why? No idea yet.

But the new trailer also shows a lot of tight objects in the hands like lemons, sponges, bottles, kiwi, etc. It is likely that all of this tends to anticipate a unique functionality of the device, perhaps linked to the gesture of tightening the edges of the terminal as hypothesized by a recent leak.

The presentation of the device is expected in a few weeks, namely May 16th. We will update you as soon as we know more about it.
