How to root Sony Xperia Z Tablet

Directions

1. Before you begin, make a backup of everything you think is important on the phone, just in case.

2. Charge the phone battery to 75% or more.

3. Make sure to be running firmware 10.1.C.0.370 or 10.1.1.A.1.307. Do not do this method with any other firmware version.

4. This procedure should work for both locked and unlocked Bootloader.

5. Download the following file: DooMLoRD_Easy-Rooting-Toolkit_v17_perf-event-exploit.zip (available in the “Download sources” section).

6. Enable USB Debugging on your device. To do this, go to Settings > Development and select the USB Debugging box.

7. Enable the installation of apps from Unknown sources. To do this, go to Settings > Security and tick the Unknown sources checkbox.

8. Connect your phone to a computer via microUSB cable. If new drivers are being installed at this point, let them finish the installation.

9. Extract DooMLoRD_Easy-Rooting-Toolkit_v17_perf-event-exploit.zip you had downloaded in step 5 to a folder on the Desktop.

10. From the extracted folder, double-click in runme_win.bat to start the rooting process.

11. Press any key to continue with the process until it reaches its end.

12. Wait until the phone restarts completely and exit the DooMLoRD program.
