As usual the release of the latest version of Chrome for Android has arrived a few days late from release for Windows, Mac and Linux. With the latest Google’s browser update is more fluid, loads faster and consumes less battery with the videos now.

According to the news announced by the company, Chrome 52 loads videos instantly, without forcing users to wait the typical small breaks with previous versions. The videos also work in the Power Save mode, which according to the statement released by Google, saving about 50% on data traffic. By activating the mode of course you will have access to a “lighter” version of the audio and video streaming, with a consistently lower quality.

Chrome plays video for a billion hours a week, according to figures released by the company, and many of these hours are spent on mobile devices. The latest update is designed precisely to enhance the experience at this particular juncture, at least on Android and on websites that use HTML5-based player (increasingly in the majority). Even more interesting, the improvements are not only on tangible performance, but also on energy efficiency.

Chrome videos are played for a billion hours a week, according to figures released by the company, and of course mobile devices are the most used. So we are here because the last update was designed just for Android and for those Web sites that use HTML5-based player. Chrome is in our opinion the best browser for Android, however this does not mean that it is entirely free of problems. Google knows this and, fortunately, is constantly repairing.

At the moment there is not a certain date for the distribution of Chrome 52 for Android, but according to rumors should be a matter of days. Chrome 52 is available to the public and can be downloaded via Google Play Store. If you had not yet received it is sufficient to force the update manually within the My Apps section and selecting the appropriate item in the Chrome browser.
