Android 7.0 Nougat distributed to users in the final version in August
According to Evan Blass (famous leaker), Android 7.0 Nougat will be updated on Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, but not to the older smartphones, even the Nexus 5. The latest software by Google is currently in the hands of developers, but the stable version could be in Nexus hand users in August.
If you follow at least a little the mobile world, you will know for sure who @evleaks is, aka Evan Blass. This leaker possess succulent advances on new hardware outputs but also on the software release. Today the expert said that the update roll-out to end-users of Android 7.0 will begin next month: Considering today is 30 July, then we must think of an early release in August already.
So good news for Nexus 6P (manufactured by Huawei) and Nexus 5X (made by LG) users, but also for the Nexus 6 users designed by Google in 2015, made possible through a partnership with Motorola. Together with Android Nougat, of course, also the required monthly security patches will come. The leak confirms what has already been long recognized for Nexus 5: already in May the preview of Android 7.0 Nougat had not been provided for the Nexus 5; now it confirms that the Google cell phone of 2014 will not be benefited from a new major release, since the times guaranteed for the software support from Mountain View were completed.
Of course the words of Evleaks must still be confirmed by the facts: the release in August seems rather strange, given the habit of starting important updates so vitally almost always in October/November, to coincide with the launch of new hardware. However, it is also true that the leaker hardly provided incorrect information. The goodness of the news, in short, is that we can verify it in the next few weeks.
A move that definitely the user in question would never have expected and even us indeed. Lucky users in fact seems to be the sole possessor of the final version of Android 7.0, and definitely, after the first screenshots of the run, will not hesitate to tell in detail how it will be the next version of the operating system of the green robot.
