New devices from HTC: Desire 816 and Desire 610

HTC unveiled two new devices during the last Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. They are two mid-range smartphones with the design and materials of the acclaimed HTC One. There is no information on the price on any of these models, but they will hit the market in the coming months.

HTC Desire 816

This smartphone features a 5.5-inch HD display (280 × 720 pixels) with BlinkFeed. Inside we found a 1.6 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1.5 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD card.

The rear camera has a 13 MP sensor, while the front one has considerable 5 MP. In the connectivity field, it is also fully equipped. The Desire 816 has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The device is powered by a 2600 mAh battery.

The HTC Desire 816 also includes the front speakers of the HTC One, with the acclaimed BoomSound system. It will be released with the latest version of Android and will be available this spring.

HTC Desire 610

The Desire 610 has a smaller screen, 4.7-inch qHD. It has a 1.2 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and 1.2 GB of RAM. It also includes 8 GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD card.

The rear camera on this model is 8 MP, while the front one is 1.3 MP. As in the previous model, we found Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. This smartphone also works with Android customized with Sense 5.5, and as in the Desire 816, it includes Blinkfeed and Zoe.

The HTC Desire 610 goes on sale in 6 colors and will be available starting next May.
