The Taiwanese company HTC has introduced a new device at CES 2015 in Las Vegas. It is a mid-range terminal with special care for the photographic details.

The Desire 826 has a 5.5-inch screen with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. It carries a 64-bit eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor running at 1.7 GHz, and it has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage expandable via microSD card. It is powered by a 2600 mAh battery, and it runs Android 5.0 Lollipop customized with their own Sense skin.

The most remarkable area is the photo section. The HTC Desire 826 has a 13 MP rear camera and a front Ultrapixel 4 MP one. In addition, it includes the HTC EYE Experience, which brings a number of improvements to get the most from our photos. Among others features, we can find the Auto-selfie function (to take pictures automatically with the front camera), and the ability to use voice commands to take a picture or record a video. This device is even able to record videos with both cameras simultaneously.

Other interesting features that the HTC Desire 826 includes are the BoomSound, which provides great music, and the Dolby sound enhancement.

The Desire 826 has a size of 158 x 77.5 x 7.9 mm and weighs 189 grams. It will be available in several colors, with frames in pink, blue and metallic on black, white, or silver bodies (or at least, so it appears at HTC’s website).

For now, the price is not yet known, but the device will go on sale in Asian markets later this month. HTC has not announced dates for a possible expansion to Europe or America, but it seems that the Desire 826 will also be available in these markets (since the device appears in the American version of HTC’s website).
