New rooting method for Project Ara, the new phone by Google.

Project Ara is the codename for an initiative from Google, which aims to develop an open platform, with free hardware for building highly modular smartphones. The platform will include a structural frame, a kind of skeleton that contains modules that will form the smartphones as the owner want. Modules as a monitor, keyboard or an extra battery. From this, users can exchange the defective modules or older components, thus providing longer life cycles for the device and potentially reduce waste. The first model of the modular phone is scheduled to be released in January 2015 and should cost around $ 50.

The project first appeared in October 2013, still under the tutelage of the mobile unit of Motorola. However, the US company was sold for Google to Lenovo on January 29 for $ 3 billion. Google Atap was originally from Motorola and was one of the few parts of the company that was with Google after the sale.
